it's tetris but suuuper multiplayer so it's a fun concept but the overabundance of competitive 99 games really takes some of the fun out of it, but it's nice

A more frustrating Tetris experience in my opinion.
While it’s still Tetris and lining up blocks to clear them is still fun, with how the game is structured it feels like you’ll randomly get 50 people targeting you and you lose.

i don't think you could mess up a tetris battle royale if you tried. it's tetris.
The first and best of the NSO 99-style games, and one I consistently enjoy going back to. It's fun how many cosmetic options they've made available as cross-promotions at this point, with each one coming with not just a graphical re-skin, but also appropriate music and sound effects. Tetris 99 is the first game where I played Tetris at a slightly-more-serious level, and I have a soft spot for it. I only wish the 2-player local mode was side-by-side... because for some reason, the two players' playfields are stacked vertically?? Whatever.
Anyway, shoutout to the Ring Fit Adventure theme for tipping me off that that game has a cool soundtrack.

When I discovered I sucked at Tetris 💀
just like all versions of tetris, this is a game you put on when you just want to go full brain off, turn on a show and spend the next 3 hours just stacking but this time, you're allowed to get mad at other people.
A pretty creative and fun Tetris experience that was just really nice breather to play especially when you just need something simple to play.
