They fixed zora swimming and the boss updates are cool the graphics aren't as scary as the original

This game made me go a little insane with how much I cared about and wanted to save all the people in my silly little cartridge

I'm at a loss for words trying to describe how incredible just about every aspect of this game is. At the very least, I'll say the three day cycle is probably the single most genius game mechanic I have ever experienced. Just play the game lol

So happy to finally check this off the backlog. What an awesomely weird and spooky at times, game. It's wild to think this is how they follow up Ocarina of Time with this. But it shows the utter confidence of the team in what they had and the game is great. Also happy to have played the remake on 3DS as I can imagine how frustrating it must've been to do all that menu management on the N64 with constantly going in and out of the menus.

Pulled my first all nighter as a kid trying to 100% this game, must say it is kinda peak

shelved due to save corruption losing a nearly completed game (all three transformation masks and nearly half of the remainder collected) great reuse of assets from OOT, very cool game.

Still the game I know and love but there are so many small nagging changes that I don't like. Either play on N64 or use the Project Restoration mod.

Shocking port. I don't think there's a single change between this and the vanilla version that actually improves the game. I was so happy this game was getting a 3D port when it was announced and it just makes me upset now. Just play the original.

I would’ve given the game a higher rating.

- There were a few things added that made the game feel better like being able to fast forward to any hour as opposed to the N64 version where you can only go between dawn and evening. It made doing certain quest much easier as you can just jump to an hour before whatever quest.
- Just like OoT 3D, being able to use the ocarina while looking at the song notes was a nice touch.
- Able to access Owl statues early unlike N64 where you were required to smack the statue with a sword to access.
- I’m mixed up a bit on learning song of soaring in a different spot compared to N64. This is just me being picky about it some might find it much better to access earlier than after visiting Deku Palace.
- Gyro on the 3DS made aiming much more smoother 🙏

My main annoyance was the changes to the boss fights.

- All bosses have some dusty giant eyeball that you have to smack around like a punching bag.
- Stone Tower Boss was the biggest POS I ever had to fight against 🙂‍↕️ while I did enjoy watching Link flex after beating up the worms it felt like a damn chore. I didn’t get all the fairies in the temple due to running out of time in the temple so I was able to teleport into the boss room since I had unlocked it before rewinding time. So I’m not sure if I could use the fairy sword as a giant? I’m used to N64 and being able to use the sword already as a giant. OH YEAH AND HAVING YO DEFEAT ONE WORM TO UNLOCK THE GIANT MASK WAS ANNOYING lmao.

Still a pleasant experience and I’m glad to have finally completed the base story on 3DS. I just won’t give it another go until another few months.

this gameplay fucking sucks. like i can make a two hour youtube documentary abt the fundamental issues with the gameplay its so bad

Absolutely fantastic and one of if not my favorite Zelda game! They got so weird, scary, and strange in this one the vibes are immaculate! Loved the gameplay here as in Ocarina 3D, just feels too damn good! Looked up all the masks so I could get fierce deity, and didn't mind at all because the moon area and playdates are so spooky and strange! Love how much isn't explained!

Muy buena adaptación del juego original a la consola 3ds.

Uno de los pocos zeldas con ambientación más oscura.

the way nintentubers gaslit an entire generation of gamers into thinking this shit is good
it doesnt matter how good the atmosphere is and how dark it is if the game is pure antifun on a cartridge.

The first Game Theory video I think I ever watched was the one he did with Peanut Butter Gamer about Link being dead and Majora's Mask being a metaphor of the five stages of grief. Kinda blew my mind and luckily the 3DS port came about a year later so I could play it.

I don't think I ever ended up finishing it (mainly because I was, and still am, too dumb for all the puzzles lol). But I can totally understand why it's so beloved, such a darker and more sinister game than Ocarina of Time. The -72 Hours Remain- concept is very unique as well. I do ultimately prefer Ocarina of Time though - just a personal preference.

I also remember having a legit out-of-body experience when I first entered the observatory. Lol why is Zelda's soundtrack always so goated xD

the countdown to impending doom stresses me out way too much

j’ai joué sur pc et à 19 ans mais si j’y avais joué à 12 j’pense je serais pas là même femme

I love Majora's Mask and I think the 3D version was extremely good as well. The reduction of some of the bosses to "hit the eyeball" was a little unfortunate but this is still one of my all-time favourite games, and the improvements to the Bomber Notebook tracking and some of the character controls were welcomed.

cool atmosphere, chilling story, but the time constraint stressed me out waaaay too much. rest in fucking peace

Do not play this game until you've played Ocarina of Time. This game captures the feeling of a fever dream based on a game you've played recently, and that feeling is lost if you play this before Ocarina of Time.

Buen remake al mejor Zelda de la historia

basically neutered everything that made the old game one of the best, theres still a lot of good stuff here but the og is just flat out better
