Last played: August 2022. I remember liking this game a lot. Don't think I ever got around to the DLC, but the story and atmosphere are all-time. Looking forward to AW2.

Great game with a great atmosphere and story but with a genuinely mind numbing gameplay loop
I really really like the story, but I absolutely hate the combat and how combat heavy the game is.
i tried to play this game when it came out but i got bored quick. one day i will do a remedy backlog complete playthroguh and finish it finally

Good story but the gameplay is repetitive and boring.
Pretty strange and interesting plot and characters and I enjoyed it a lot, but the gameplay is kind of boring, which isn't good for a pretty lengthy game. The story kept my interest to the end so if you can stomach a lot of tedium for that then go ahead.
It is required reading for Alan Wake 2 tho so I would recommend at least watching a playthrough before playing that.

No lo jugaba ya hace varios años, y la verdad que sigue siendo un juego muy disfrutable. Especialmente en su historia, que es super interesante. Tiene sus errores, por supuesto, mas que nada en temas de gameplay, pero no deja de ser un buen juego.
Damn, Alan Wake 1 is so good. All the time we get to explore the forests and the town at night is always great. Big vibes, fun and simple gameplay loop, great story. Love that it's framed like a tv show.
