A legend in the gaming space, but very unwelcoming to newcomers. Even as someone who plays older games often, it requires previous knowledge to fully enjoy.
I was hoping for some optional QOL features to be added to the remaster, but nope. Blizzard is in it's "minimum viable product" era.
When going to forums for help, or just questions about certain mechanics, I was constantly met with hostility and manchildren with superiority complexes. We get it, you no lifed this on a CRT computer monitor 20 years ago- I was just asking if there was a brightness setting because my eyes were hurting.
I beat it. Is this game a legend and should be respected as a pillar of gaming? 100%. Does it hold up for someone wanting to experience it for the first time? For me at least, no...
