Despite the game not being in such good hands these days it's still extremely influential and probably the best example of how an indie game can absolutely demolish most modern triple A games.

It's difficult to give minecraft an honest rating when newer versions are drastically different from older ones, and so much of the enjoyment comes from external factors like the friends you have, the mods you use, and whether or not you have a good computer.

One of the best games in history, but for me, it's only amazing being played with friends, and I feel that it still lacks something more, like new bosses, items, etc. But it's an amazing game that captivates you from start to finish.
