The masterpiece of the Uncharted series. When this came out I really didn't think it was going to be as spectacular as it was, but I was obviously very wrong. They exceeded every expectation with this game, going all the way from the characters themselves to the story. Uncharted IMO is already a must-play series, and this just tops off its legacy.
It's a really good game where you can tell Naughty Dog wanted to take the game in a slightly different direction. It felt like the game was sometimes responding to the criticism of Uncharted games having you fight way too many guys. There are a lot more sections in this game where you are just walking around and platforming.
I think the biggest flaw for me is that these platforming segments are a little too long for how mechanically simple they are. They add a grappling hook and eventually a tool you can use to dig into certain surfaces to climb them, but it's just not enough.

Even now, many years later Uncharted 4 is in my opinion the best video game ever, with the storytelling of a movie and the characters so great you wish they were real this game stuns you in the best way. It’s graphics were ahead of its time and are still better than most games today (in 2022) the ranges combat is fantastic and the melee combat is the so realistic it works in real life, the parkour is even better and the narrative perfectly ties together what built over 3 previous games. Rafe was a brilliant villian who had a past with Nate, the final sword fight was exceptional and the banter made it even more intense, I replay that fight at least once a week it’s that good, the addition of Sam as a character was perfectly put in and the opening cliffhanger was one to remember, the summary of the past games in his notebook was a tear jerking trip down memory lane. This has to be the greatest game of all time! This is of course all just my opinion though
