I've just replayed the Devil May Cry HD Collection on Steam to complete the achievements. Being an emulated high-definition version, it still retains the same issues as the original... in high definition... sometimes... I reckon I could complete the entire game just using pistols. The artificial intelligence of the enemies is either the same or worse than the first game, the level design is unattractive, and the camera doesn't offer much assistance. Dante's presence feels rather irrelevant, in a negligible plot. Overall, the game comes across as generic and uninteresting. Perhaps it could have been better as a spin-off focused solely on Lucia, instead of this complete disregard. I'd give it half a star more for the look of our 'protagonist' Dante, who is genuinely cool.

And just for the record... this DMC HD Collection for Windows is basically clickbait
