The nature of this game is entirely how it works.
It's a joke from a 2011 video that was meant to be a parody of Duke Nukem specifically due to the at the time upcoming Duke Nukem Forever that's final punchline was that the game wouldn't release until March 2024.
Cut to 2024 and this game misses that release window, instead releasing April 1st 2024 which feels like another joke about Forever if I'm being quite honest.
Now playing the game, I am utterly amused that the game supposedly meant to be "just as good if not better than Duke Nukem Forever" is a cheap asset flip that somehow got Jon St. John to voice it's title character.
