Good but it just didn't grip me enough for me to stay

one of my favourite games of all time!!! the companions with actual character depth, the end zone, the bosses that i fought way too underleveled, the quest markers that actually tell you what quest you're going to... amazing game!

I can not take another game set in the infinite well of creativity that is space that has the most bare bones sleep inducing shooting mechanics. I CANT DO IT. YOU CANT MAKE ME PLAY STARFIELD

cool aesthetic but i cannot force myself to finish it

There's a lot to like here, and plenty of potential that I hope the sequel builds on, but man is this kinda mid. I remember playing it and liking it, but years later I remember literally nothing from it. No fond memories. Some of the writing was good I guess, but I couldn't tell you the name of a single character or location

Rushed This playthrough, liked it enough to try again in the future.

Enemy IA is REALLY dumb, there are times where I am standing next to them and they don´t notice.
Lots of useless items that fill your inventory and maintain you looting every enemy, locker, desk, etc.

That combined with the limited weight
Can´t skip dialogs and if you are listening to an audio and a character talks, it interrupts the audio.

Don´t like that when you have to pick one of two sides, with pros and cons, there is a third option where everyone is is happy.

The mystery´s resolutions felt cheap and made everything before pointless. It exchanged thinking about the evidence, the small details, the character's alibi's, only for shock points. Furthermore, the final decision was incredibly one sided.

Exploration is not rewarded. It is usually finding a bit more of everything (ammo, consumable, guns), but never sth good. What makes it bad is that you naturally already have A LOT of those things, so it feels pointless.

Most of the secondary missions barely paid off (story wise).

The companion mechanic was poorly implemented, couldn´t find more than 2 options and their utility was mostly for distraction. Maybe there were specific missions that gave you more companions, but after no finding anything after the first levels, I stopped trying.

A lot of loading screens.

The story is ok, the bad officer doesn´t feel like a treat, and the other characters are too exaggerated in their personality to feel real. The dialogs are mostly good. I liked that apparently every important decision, and how you related to certain characters counts in the end, but due to the end only being combination of a static image and a narrator, it ends up feeling lackluster.

The combat was too simple to be truly fun, it was entertaining at most. And some mechanics didn´t feel important enough.

Some game mechanics and interactions weren´t explained enough, or weren´t explained at all.

Despite all its flaws, I really liked the game.

Decent game, I usually don't like to compare games from different series however, you can't not compare this game to Fallout. It's a serviceable game, with an ok story, but there is a lot less depth than Fallout. I would say if you were considering playing it, its worth playing, but not over any Fallout game.
