Actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Of course, swinging is really bad, but everything else is actually a lot of fun. Combat is literally copied from Arkham games and it just works and is a lot of fun. Story is not the most interesting one on the earth, but at the very least it tries to be original by being a sequel to the movie. Presentation is mostly good, I actually like the atmosphere. I did not have any problems in terms of level design apart from the last Spider Slayer boss but that was a minor inconvinience. I would have gave this game a 3.5/5 if its PC port was working properly. Funnily enough, I think I would rather play this game than Ultimate Spider-Man.

Although I played it on PC I had to emulate it because the actual pc version ran like garbage on my pc even though I can play games from 2023 like RE4, BG3 at over 60fps... It is a fun game, the story is ok, the gameplay is also fine, it's repetitive but it gets the job done. The giant robot battles always feel cool, but as every boss in this game they're super easy to beat. The swinging is meh, side activities become a bit dull after a while. The extras are a welcome addition since they provide more info about the game's characters and you can read a couple of comics! That is very cool! Although very far from being an amazing game, it's still a fun but quite-flawed Spider-Man game.

i actually did like this! it was a movie tie-in game that was actually a straight up sequel to the film, but, funnily enough, a lot more interesting. the whole spider-slayer concept is something i wish got adapted more, so this definitely made kid me happy, and while the camera loves being almost right up spidey's colon, it does look cool sometimes. Beenox cooked with the collectathon gimmick being comic book pages that you can then view from the title screen (i remember the picks being neat too), and while it keeps the semi-grounded cross-species bio-genetic vibe of the first game (which makes for some pretty neat designs i cant lie), the GIANT FUCKING ROBOTS are so out of place i love it. the combat, swinging, graphics, and music are mediocre though, but i did think the plot (or what i remember of it) was pretty neat, and i liked the alt costumes.

Honestly, this is a pretty nice adaptation that was licensed from the movie. I enjoyed that it took place after the first movie. It's honestly good that it has an original plot. Graphically, the game looks very good on PS3. Voice actors are honestly very impressive. The combat and stealth is good. I enjoyed some of the sections. The game shows how well Peter struggled through his adventure. Web Rush is honestly such a nice gameplay feature for the game.... when it wants to actually work. Web-swinging feels very good. The way that they made New York in the game was made very well. The boss battles were very good. My favorite has to be the Black Cat boss. The story is handled very well. It is honestly a very good Spider-Man story in this game.

The reason why I said Web Rush is good when it wants to work, is that the Web Rush can mostly be very weird. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. The voice actor for Peter, despite being a good voice actor for Spider-Man, is not a good choice for Andrew Garfield Spider-Man. The face models look very weird on characters. Though Gwen's might be the best, but she doesn't look like Emma Stone. The side content can be fun at first, but the more I play it became very tedious. Sometimes the buttons won't respond to the game. I would try to counter or do a signature move and yet it acts like I didn't press the buttons. I know you guys might think that it's probably my controller, but it's not. I played Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension and my controller works very well. No issues with it. The biggest problem with this game is that it tries so hard to be an Arkham clone.... and try to be it's own Arkham, but it didn't do well. It should've made this game have very unique Spider-Man gameplay.

Overall, the game does have charm to it, despite its flaws. I can definitely see the charm that it has. It has effort going for it. It is still a playable Spider-Man game. I'd say go ahead and play it if you like.
