have no fear, Order will prevail, the ghoulish hordes of the Transylvanian Elite are no match... teh Age Of Reckoning will forever remain non[redacted], untouched&unmarred, full of ToxicGreen colored foes for WorloWarcraft heroes to slay!.

ps:sequel to this HeroesofMightMagic game muchbetter, as we all know, in this there's zero quirky scientific subreddit sewer-dwelling teenage mutant ninja redditors You can treat to a warm irondrake welcome (almost as Hot as here in Texas currently, @midnights......)

The ongoing development of Warhammer III makes reviewing this weird; It's a strictly inferior product to its sequels, but it laid the necessary foundations for the series to really hit its stride in II. And even if it never got a sequel, this would still be a very solid game.

How does this run so poorly when there are no soldiers on screen?

After my more than epic encounter with Shogun 2, I had my expectations uncapped. Feudal Japan was an immersive, yet limited, experience. Taking control of the provinces was a lot of fun, and becoming a shogun was a real challenge. But I would be lying if I said was ready for another Shogun campaign. There are several clans, however - even for a Sengoku Jidai affectionate like myself - they were not that different to justify a whole new run. That's where Warhammer is a game changer.

Descending into shadows and blood, I took hold of the von Carstein family and threw the Old World into an era of Darkness. Control all my favorite fantasy monsters and be the ultimate Lord Vampire with my unique mechanics. Destroy the Empire, Bretonnia, and the Dwarfs while searching for my corrupt and magical items. All of that made Warhammer ascend to the ranks of my favorite games.

And that's just the thing: I've only played with one specific lord of the Vampire Counts. I can play with all of the other factions and lords, and I'm sure that I'll have a completely different experience. I've said I can play with the others, but what I really meant was I'm already playing with the Wood Elves and if that's not a great sign, I don't know what it is.

Trop bien, mais on peut faire mieux.

This might not be the most in-depth strategy game but it is a really fun one. As this is the first entry of Total War into fantasy it is certainly rough around some edges but the overall feel is simply amazing once you get into it. The Warhammer universe gives the player so many cool tools to play with unless of course you simple do not like fantasy related stuff. But for any person that does like dwarves standing their ground against hordes of orcs for example I would recommend giving this game a try.

I tried to get in this game A LOT of times, and every time i bounced off after 12h of starting over and over it finally clicked, don't get me wrong i'm still a newbie at this but I finally can see why people like it, and I feel that I'm becoming one of them...

Like the setting but it felt to little compared to the endless potential. Glad the next parts delivered

As far as total war games go, this one is quite good. Tons of replayability and the different factions are unique enough that it is interesting every time.

Great Total War, what else to say

It's easy to overlook how incredible this game was when it first released. Despite its relative simplicity, Total War: Warhammer was the foundation for an incredible 6-year journey that culminated in one of the most ambitious strategy games of all time.

Um jogo muito bom de fantasia em turnos/RTS.

Who knew that this game would catapult all the way to Warhammer 3
Very crusty on release. Warriors of Chaos should not have been a paid dlc with how barebones it was. But I think the sheer awe of seeing dwarfs fighting a giant spider or running over peasants with a varghulf trumped everything else.

I love warhammer, I love total war. I don't need much else. While magic can sometimes feel overpowered, and it doesn't feel quite as in-depth overall as past games, it is so much fun to see the tabletop figures come to life with such attention to detail.

I dig the darker tone of the first Warhammer compared to Warhammer II
