Had this game as a kid, didn't understand it at all and today wonder if I should dip back into the newer total war games, but remember that I just didn't get this game play.

Best strategy game of its time. My childhood. Started my love for history which still continues to this day.

A History of the Total War: Part III

(Back to "cool" civilizations, according to dumbass 2000's me)

As a kid, it was amazing to play some of these battles. Eventually i found out how to cheat and ruined the game for myself. But I remember some battles fondly even now.

The game that introduced me to the franchise. It was so incredibly fun as a kid even though it was super hard. Doesn't hold up as well these days, but was amazing for everything it did at the time, and playing huge battles online against your siblings was amazing.

An awesome strategy game that has the player diverting attention equally towards politics and city management, resource management and construction, and warfare, giving them the resources to potentially change the course of history and avert the catastrophes that eroded the Roman empire in the real world. A great game for history buffs that take interest in the subject but also just a great game for people in-general who enjoy managing an army and cultivating a society to conquer the world, for either benevolent or malevolent ends.

Amazing!
Nice gameplay mechanics.
Also, good Android port.

Beaucoup de gens ne seront pas d'accord avec moi mais pour moi Rome Total War est indéniablement le meilleur jeu Total War qui existe, même Médiéval TW 2 ne lui arrive pas a la cheville
