The peak of my childhood series. I’m not joking.
Honestly, I think this one is my favorite out of the entire series. The story is pretty neat, the new characters are pretty cool, you can even play as the villains (albeit that's locked behind buying "traps" to use to catch the villains). While it does suck being forced to buy Trap Team masters to 100% the game, it's still a blast to play nonetheless. My favorite part is doing all the side challenges, especially the ones for the tower defense game.
The traps and villains are super cool but BRO. WHY IS IT ONLY THE TRAP MASTERS WHO CAN OPEN ELEMENTAL GATES. SUCK MY BALLS ACTIVISION
The best concept out of any Skylanders game, however my opinion on it is the same as swapforce, with a little less nostalgia

This really should be two entires for handheld and console. they were completely different games. Skylanders are pretty much all the same until superchargers, and they're all enjoyable. The concept works and feels more rewarding the more you play of it. This one, in particular, stood out to me for having some weirdly compelling sound design and a few pieces of incidental music that live in my head SO rent-free.
Seriously, look up Ulrich Rassy, Noisekraft. the whole album ended up on spotify at some point. Phantom Ship is fucking bone-chilling to me.

I've previously beaten this game on Wii U, but was just replaying it to get some more time in Skylands now that the series is dead. Also wanted to get some trophies from it.
There has never been a more hype moment then me using my earth trap to finally get Golden Queen
