This game has completely captivated my attention, causing me to lose track of time and neglect certain aspects of my life. It's addictive, and I'm determined to find a balance in the days to come. Although I've played for around 60 hours, the intensity peaked in the last 3 days where I spent a staggering 40 hours engrossed in the gameplay, averaging around 13 hours and 20 minutes a day. Considering that I allocate 8 hours for sleep, I had a remaining 16 hours for other activities, yet I found myself dedicating most of that time to this game, around 13 hours and 20 minutes daily.
Admittedly, a few of those hours were due to occasionally leaving the game running while multitasking, estimating a maximum of 4 hours or roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes of AFK time per day. This means I spent about 12 hours a day actively playing.
The game itself revolves around managing an adorable slime farm, providing a casual gaming experience. I genuinely recommend it, but I implore you not to devote half of your day to it. Find a healthy balance and enjoy the game responsibly

ill be honest i think im just done with this until... the full game is finalised? or at least until a big enough update releases that this is worth investing more time in. i really love slime rancher 1 and i want to enjoy this--and i think i will when its finished!--but for right now theres just not enough content to justify playing it for more than a few hours. with there being no end to anything and no actual quests or anything to strive towards, this is more of just a "have fun with ur slimes" game than anything else. which is fine! i love the graphics update and the looks of the new map and i love the new slimes, theyre all so cute, but theres just nothing else to unlock or do after you explore the whole map and find all the new slimes.
the new map feels too large in a way that is bothersome.. like navigating the locations feels a bit stressful and theres so many twists and turns its easy to get lost and not have a convenient way to get back home. a minimap would be useful, or a waypoint/marker system at least. the gordo's feel like an afterthought and instead of unlocking new areas to progress to they just kind of... exist in the map and dont really give any benefits. harvesting resources is better in this game and has more purpose than the first, but overall i just.. feel like theres not much here until a huge update or a finished game is released.
im excited for a full release and i think ill really love it! but for right now i think im finished with this

There are a lot of improvements over the original game here. At the same time there is a HUGE downgrade in the "Rancher" part of the game. In that it is now completely unnecessary to do... In the previous game, there was a need to have a huge amount of money to unlock stuff, which gave ranching a purpose. That's just.. not here. So the game feels more like just wandering around unlocking parts of the world and looking at the pretty slimes and graphics.
Still a great game, but it just doesn't have what made the first game so special to me... maybe when the game is fully released they will address that issue.

I enjoyed this game almost as much as I enjoyed the first entry, however I was expecting just a bit more from something that should be a sequel. I can tell that I could sink just as much time into this game, and that I don't regret the purchase in the slightest, but I am left hoping for more to be added. I've set it to the side for now.
I was a pretty big fan of the original slime rancher, so it's fair to say the sequel had me rather excited. When it came out, it was everything I had hoped for, and more. Many issues that I had with the original had been remedied in this sequel. It still is in early access, and I generally believe that there still isn't quite enough content to justify the asking price, but I'm excited to experience what the developers plan to deliver.
This is perfection so far; Amazing Visuals, An awesome map and decently balanced gameplay. My issue is, this really feels like the more polished first version of the game, with the second half of the actual story cut off. The late game at this point is basically non existent, and there isn’t a lot to do that you couldn’t in the first game.
I understand the game isn’t quite finished yet -but given how it’s been almost a year, until we get a new gameplay expansion, this is the highest I can give the game in its current state.
