soundtrack is really good

vivec city is the liveliest city in the server, very good crafting table placement, very confusing map outside of vivec city, which reflects the true morrowind experience

halls of fabrication is aight with weird and buggy mechanics but very difficult in veteran mode

drops on this raid are pure dogshit

I enjoy Elder Scrolls Online and Morrowind is one of my favourite games ever. Can ESO's rendition of Vvardenfell live up to such a height? No, of course not but I didn't expect it to. ESO feels more like a theme park version of Tamriel which is certainly true with this Morrowind expansion but I still have a good time in it. I do enjoy seeing the region again in prettier graphics and seeing it in older state. I don't think they did a great job with presenting Vvardenfell 700 years before the event of The Elder Scrolls 3 such as with Seyda Neen looking the exact same when it really shouldn't exist at all at this point but it is nice to see Vivec City under construction or Ald'Ruhn being an Ashlander camp. As an ESO expansion, it offers a lot of the same stuff as the rest. Wolrd bosses to kill, delves to explore, collectibles to gather. The side quests are pretty strong and do a good job of giving the major settlements some character. The series of quests in Sadrith Mora do drag a bit but for the most part, they are all pretty good. The quests for Balmora are a stand out. The main quest is decent and guides you around the whole map quite well. Seeing Baar Dau drop in the sky was cool even if I can also admit it was pretty cheesy. I had a good time with this expansion and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the Daedric War stroyline.

Hey remember Seyda Neen? It's actually been there all along since 2e. Oh remember Ergalla guy that greets you at character creation? His ancestor greets you as well! Remember Llevule Andrano's skull you needed to retrieve? You can meet him here! Remember misandristic Drata? You'll learn why she became like that! Remember naked nords fooled by witches? You can see one of them again! Remember lost Vassir-Didanat mine? You'll learn what the accident was there! Remember dwemer ruins at Gnisis egg mine? You can see them again! Remember false incarnate Conoon Chodala? You can meet him here! Remember Lich Barilzar from Tribunal? You can meet him too!

We all love easter eggs, references, homages, whatever, but DEAR GOD there's a limit to that. The more you include them, the more you lose your identity(ahem ahem Signalis) and the less references feel impactful.

This dlc is genuinely good, but a lot of the time it feels like simple nostalgia bait. Yes, those moments are generally well written and expand the lore in interesting ways, but ZOS should've focused on something original instead and it was great when they did it! Just wish we got more of it.
