the absolutely terrifying experience of visiting Spain

you can suplex/5

This is another case of me putting off playing a game because it has so much crazy hype around it but it seriously lives up to it. Just a crazy fun campy time. I still occasionally replay the opening village bit just because it's so damn fun to run around and juke the Ganados.

It drags in some parts. The castle felt like it lasted forever and by the time I got to Saddler I was like omfg finally... but I can't say I was ever really bored. More of a thriller than a horror game the Regenerador bit was the only time I was like AHHH!!! running around scared. Graphically holds up well IMO.. yeah the HD versions look sorta dookie but I still think the original has a certain aesthetic charm that the 2023 version lacks. Leon we freaking love you. Also I might be the only person on earth who was like YIPPIEE every time I got to unlock more bottlecaps

Yeahhhh I still don't like this game. I really don't get what all the fuss is about. At least I can laugh at RE 5 with a friend

yes, it's better than valorant

te odeio ashley, de resto, perfeito e memorável

Played it again, still goated

bad adaptation to keyboard, i cant play it, but i know the game is great.

je fais ce jeu 1 fois par an tellement je l'adore

Leon Sex Kennedy saves the day once again (ashley is so annoying)

GooeyScale: 9

I should put this up in my faves actually but if i have 5 japanese games up theyll crucify me

I played this on a Gamestop Gamecube demo kiosk when I was 9 and it changed my life forever. Thank you boy toy Leon

yeah this game deserves its fame (JUST FOR THE SAVE ROOM THEME ALONE)

i dont dislike any of it, but it is indeed a dramatic shift from the style the first entries have, and from what ive seen it snowballed away with the games after it, and the shift is just puuuuuuuuuuuureeee gameplay overhauls and it feels like a totally different thing (i cant even combine the ammo to my weapon anymore i gotta ACTUALLY RELOAD THE GUN like wow) its much more action and less puzzles compared to the older games

instead of having the feeling of being eerie it feels rather edgier but in a good way, already liked leon from the very few lines he had in re2 but in this game he's so corny and fun its so endearing.

Good - More Wiimote this time, fun!

One of the best Resident Evil games if not THE best Resident Evil game. While Resident Evil is a survival horror game, RE4 started the shift to action horror. Many of the trends that people don't like in games like RE6 began here, but you know what? This game is cool as hell and is fun to play! Isn't that worth something?

tenho convicções que o leon era fã do evanescence

Wow. So fucking fun. So fucking camp. Fucking loooooooooved this. That ending?????????

I honestly find it so hard to nitpick. I guess if I tried REALLY hard to find something wrong... ummm the gameplay looks boring sometimes? Like, it's hard to understand the addictive gameplay loop of this game if you haven't actually played it, because on the surface it looks like super clunky controls shooting boring and samey-looking enemies who walk super slow towards you - basically the opposite of fun. Sometimes I'd even worry if the game wouldn't hold up as well if I returned to it, but every time I was wrong. Like I can think of like 2 or 3 moments where I was like "okay, we've done this before" but like... thats it. These moments would always be followed up with a crazy unique and new experience that wouldn't make sense in any game other than this one (such as the massive Salazar statue chasing after you). It's just so much fucking fun dude.

This game would be a million times worse if it had serious, down-to-earth characters. I'm hella excited to play the remake, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about Ashley being a real character, because it's just so fucking funny seeing her and Leon interact. It's so fucking funny how they only recorded two lines for her being in trouble and just repeat them every single time. Adds to the unintentional humour of this game.

Uhhmmmm what else. Some fully scary moments in this game, which I was NOT expecting. Like it's not psychological or deep or thought provoking AT ALL, but instead pure helplessness and desperation. Key moments were the invisible bug fellas (my brother (who I played through the entire game with) was freaking tf out and like jumping out of his seat spamming the shoot button it was the funniest thing ever), the dogs in the courtyard maze, and the fucking regenerators and their creepy as fuck breathing.

I could literally go on forever. Need to get all of my friends to play this game. I really really REALLY hope this holds up on a replay. I'm so sick and tired of my favourite pieces of art losing all of their flavour after being revisited one too many times.

Fucken masterpiece brah.

It's good, but I don't get why it's such an all time favorite tbh.

This game is terrific but I hate the way it altered the course of the whole Resident Evil franchise. Also Leon sucks.

watching leon kennedy's dirty blonde curtain hair sway in the wind as he shot zombies in the head changed me as a 10 year old. also the wii was the superior version.
