The game genuinely unnerved me. So, it did its job. But the promise of "realistic graphics" from the pre-rendered cutscenes and trailers is not followed through on when the gameplay itself starts. The graphics in the actual engine are fairly run-of-the-mill and unimpressive. And though the setting and mood are impeccable, the reliance on jump scares that seem to have no logical connection to the lore of the world itself comes across as a handicap.

Still, for the very low asking price, one could do worse. Definitely a recommended playthrough. But once will be enough.
