Had a blast with this short 2D side-scrolling beat em up prequel to FF XV. I love the way it uses Regis telling Noctis a bedtime story as the framework and how it weaves in quite a few direct references to "The Princess Bride". The combat is mostly button-mashing but it all works well and is very satisfying to mix different magic spells and blocks with melee attacks. It also does a really good job of translating the Armitage and companion attacks from the main game into this genre. Dream Battles post-game are pretty cool, too. Fun little challenges. All in all this was a short, neat alternate experience within the realm of arguably my favorite FF game. What's not to love?
