This list is ordered by number of citations on the notes section of the article, the more citations, the higher is on the list.

It's only natural that older games rank higher since they have been out for longer and game journalists have had more time to put them on their own lists.

I put notes on some of the games signaling how many citations they got, if game number 2 has 51 citations and then number 4 has 49 citations, that means number 3 has the same number of citations as the last one, 51. So take in mind that, for example, "The Sims" with 19 citations is not necessarily a better game than "Bloodborne" with the same number of citations even though one is higher on the list than the other.
