A VN that tries to be both a comedy and serious noir thriller that ends up weaker as a whole because it couldn't pick a tone. Plenty of incredible moment to moments in the writing, but let down by an excessively convoluted plot.

The most optimized and best Danganronpa game in terms of characters, gameplay, story, and pacing. and a huge upgrade from the first game. A must play if you liked THH.

everything i said in the danganronpa thh review about the gameplay i still agree with here. the music and art is better. the story has been EXPAAAAAAANDED bigger than i thought of the franchise in the first game but it's super engaging. the cases are more interesting and more diverse. the character designs are so much better that it makes the first game's designs looks shitty lol. the only gripes i have about this game are the motives are really annoying. like an example is the 3rd case, where monokuma gives some of the characters an unknown disease, some of which leads to their own death. in the first game, motives were little pushes for the characters to wanna kill each other which is perfect. but in this game, monokuma get way too involved and it ruins that concept. it's okay but kinda annoying man, anyways great game and concept.
Pitch perfect final entry to the main trilogy and the best example I’ve seen in how to “end” a series. Series staples are still here, but all are refined to a degree that I didn’t expect the series to be able to reach. There is no such thing as a bad opinion, with the one exception being if the opinion in question is that V3’s ending wasn’t a brilliant way to wrap up the game’s main thematic conflict while interweaving a very powerful message on the impact and meaning fiction can carry.
