As a kid, I put a lot of time into KH1. I remember being obsessed with it and thinking I got really far when I got to the second boss fight in Hollow Bastion. I remember sitting through the five minute cutscene over and over and over as I couldn't beat the boss and when I finally did, I was completely overjoyed. I remember going forward in the story and the game stopping, saying the disc could no longer be read. I beat the really hard boss three more times to discover the same message every time. I couldn't beat the game...

Now as an adult with a PS4, I finally got my hands on the Story So Far collection with every game in the series and starting KH1 up again made me feel a lot of nostalgia. It was a lot easier than I remembered but I had a lot of fun with my first playthrough on the Final Mix difficulty. Then I combined the speedrun, no gear change, and no continues run into one playthrough and finally experienced a bit of challenge. And finally, I did a Proud mode playthrough to finish off the platinum trophy. It's been a journey to master this game and I'm glad I finally got to finish what younger me never could
