A good port of a game I like a lot. I was surprised how cool the 3D was though I won't lie my eyes aren't the best while writing this currently. I do find some of the audio to be off, I'm not sure if it's the emulation or my 3DS speakers are bad now but at least you can set the audio to be a genesis or genesis 2 which is pretty neat.

The special feature for this game is you can use the spin dash which honestly isn't all that special nowadays or even back then. This was also in Sonic Jam for the Saturn. Though personally I've always felt the spin dash never really worked well in this game, I have to like force myself to use it.

In the end it's just Sonic 1, if you liked the Mega Drive game, you'll like this game. If you didn't then this isn't going to change your mind. But I've played this game so much, I ended the playthrough with 25 lives, if anyone can get more then that without save states then I'm proud of you.

Also this game is in the 2nd collection they made for this series of Sega rereleases if you want to play it there, it was also the only one the US got.
