I've never really cared much for what Jaleco does on this system but this is surprisingly good for what it is. It's part of the Ninja-kun series which kind of has a weird history of its own. Most of the games aren't really that good but this one is a simple but fun platformer that uses mechanics from the original Arcade game. It's also a co-op adventure if you have a friend or even someone who hates you to play with.

That said it might be too simple for some and the game's controls can be a bit finnicky especially on the type of terrain you're on. The game is also shockingly easy to the point I was disappointed with the final boss. I could see this being a game to come back to once and a while. Though it might be too easy for some to care. Maybe I'm being too nice towards the game but I enjoyed my time except for Chapter 3, that one wasn't good. Kind of wish they gave this one another go but I'm unsure if future games tried this type of gameplay. This also recently got a fan translation but you should be fine without it. Give this game a try if it interests you.

Also should point this out incase anyone does play it, make sure you know you can pick up enemies by stunning them and then do up + Y. You won't be able to beat a specific boss if you aren't aware of this mechanic.
