Sonic Mania is very fun. I don't really have a whole lot to say here. Visually, it's great, musically, it's great (Metallic Madness 1 best song), it controls great. Only thing that's very cringe about the game is if you game over because doing so makes you redo the whole Zone instead of just the Act and i don't know why they thought that was ok for a game that came out in 2017.
But other than that, game's fantastic.

Genius Fausto here has never played a Sonic game in his life because if he had, he'd know you restart from the last checkpoint when you lose a life, not the beginning of the Act
If it were up to me, i'd just remove lives entirely because lives are an outdated concept but oh well.
of course you restart from a checkpoint when you lose a life, i was talking when you lose all lives. also lives aren't "outdated", mechanics don't have an expiration date
