A much bigger improvement from parappa 1, with way more content, streamlined mechanics and a system that makes freestyling a lot more applicable and feel a lot better.
The communication to the player that freestyling is encouraged still is not there but it even feels better to just hit the notes themselves.
The story and visuals are just as charming as parappa, although waaaaay more out there but it works to the benefit of the game.

this game poses the question everyone was too scared to ask: what if super metroid was boring

Only entertaining if you're some sort of weirdo who enjoys NES Metroid on a sexual level.

this review should probably be a 3 star, but i appreciate its role in the history of "what should character-based 3D games look like" before it had been utterly warped by everything trying to be Mario 64 so it gets a star for uniqueness.

Played through again on Rare Replay. Top tier graphics on the N64, humor mostly still good, but had to quit when I got to the third person shooting against the Tediz. It was bad enough wrestling with the controls against zombies, but it’s impossible with faster enemies with ranged attacks.

said i'd come back to this once my friend who told me to play all the kh games reads one piece

good game though
