An old JRPG with a lot of charm Dragon Quest V ended up being an enjoyable playable fairytale that didn't overstay its welcome. You follow a small likeable cast of characters as they grow up, experience loss, love and life, travel a classic world and defeat evil once and for all. Nitpicks of the game include random battles, a final boss I did not enjoy, a camera bug, a rote if enjoyable story, and annoying menu system. Give it a try if you want to go back in time to 2004 (for the ps2 version).
