Not much more to say than its a shitty beat em up. Maybe if you played this before Streets of Rage 4 or TMNT you could enjoy it. But its just clunky, awkward and annoying to play, and the writing is Forspoken tier embarassing.
As much as I appreciate Wayforward's art team, they really suck at making video games. Even Shantae and the Pirate's Curse peaked with above average, and Half Genie Hero was so short it was practically a demo. They just can't make a game that "feels" good to play. They put all this work into beautiful sprites and hand drawn art and make a crappy C-tier Unity beat em up with them.
I admit the cutscene they got 5 year olds to voice act was funny. If this game had an easy mode, this could be a fun game to play with your kid. Alas, it's tough for all the wrong reasons. Like annoying endlag, bad hitboxes, long hitstun and gimmicky boss fights.
