I enjoyed my time with Ghost Trick, but the game ended kind of abruptly with a deus ex machina plot development and an ending that was so, so stupid.

Ghost Trick kind of dragged me along expecting a truly great narrative, and what I got was a fun story that felt very predictable until the end, where all logic went out the window to provide ridiculous twists that didn't blow my mind, just kind of soured me on the whole thing.

I was definitely expecting a lot more from Ghost Trick, as the tone and setting is up my alley, with a generally comedic feel to everything, even when things get serious, which is a Shu Takumi trademark. I love Missile, he's the best dog in any video game, Cabanela is fun, and I like the chicken kitchen, so there's still enjoyment in the story, just the conclusion sucks after a generally boring falling action of obvious mysteries being slowly solved.

I just...wish the plot felt more complete and developed. I dont want to go into any detail on the ending, but man it let me down and its not a mind screw, just ridiculously contrived. I do still recommend Ghost Trick for its charm and clever puzzles, but the story spins in circles for hours and ultimately underwhelms.

Side note, if I bought a dog, it would be a pomeranian thanks in part to Ghost Trick. So I can thank it for having the best talking dog in the history of entertainment.
