I'm disowning anyone who spends money on this game (Looking at you, Hi)

There is no fucking way this is what those smash bros people were hyping up for decades

Despite giving this the same score as Sunken King, I am a little bit more mixed on this one. While the level design is very unique and fun, the enemy placement makes some sections absolutely hell, especially since half the area is very linear. The runbacks to Alonne and Blue Smelter Demon are also absolutely egregious and some of the worst game design I've ever seen.

However, this DLC has probably my two favorite bosses in the game, Fume Knight and Alonne. These two perfect what DS2 has been lacking for the most part, well-made and polished bosses. They have no bs attached and are just one-on-one duels that are pretty challenging and fair.

While I prefer Sunken King, Old Iron King is still pretty solid and proves DS2 could've been so much better.

Pretty good game with one fatal flaw. Code Veronica has all the classic Resident Evil gameplay we love with the exploration and puzzles and looks pretty good with fully 3D environments for the first time in the series.

The one huge thing that brings this game down is the progression. There is lots and lots of back tracking in this game and all the items and puzzle solutions feel like they've been put through a randomizer so the way forward feels really obnoxious because the item you'd need is back 2 areas ago.

Another thing is the game requires lots of unnecessary trial and error to progress. There's lots of things you need to do but won't know about them until you've died to it. I liked the Claire section of the game more than the Chris section because of the larger emphasis on puzzles rather than the clunky combat.

Personally I think the best way to enjoy this game is with a guide or walkthrough on hand so you can be best prepared for the trail and error and backwards randomized progression. If you do have a guide or have played it before and know how to prepare for what's ahead than I think this game is a pretty fun experience.

The Father of Survival Horror is pretty much immune to criticism thanks to its many, many, talented children; who every once in a while come to the retirement home to ask for advice

Has good points (some lore e.g.) but honestly it´s better to just get into the WHY GOD WHY?´s
- 2/3 of all space exploration is cutscenes and fast traveling (not a choice btw, can´t even land manually or just go somewhere else)
- Main story is filled with disgustingly bad writing after like three decent missions
- This has to have the least interesting first and last missions in any Bethesda games (no the last part isn´t a mindblow like some people are saying, it´s more of a rick and morty plot twist along with three kilograms of let´s avoid big questions like how or why)

at one point (small spoiler I guess but I´m trying to prove a point as well as remind myself to never ever fucking say this) you ask someone who created "something", and they straight up say, obviously the creators like who else creates things? (they were never mentioned)

that has to be the most Destiny 1 Campaign shit dialogue I´ve heard in a decade and that says a lot

I like what they did with the combat and specially the engine (HUGE tech improvement), movement is better but due to perks mostly.

Honestly if you aren´t hyped by this from just the themes and the idea of doing whatever basic things this let´s you do space exploring wise, just stay away maybe go play Fallout or 2077.

They need to bring back the villager interactions from this. I love how sarcastic they can be here!
