I'm a souls fan but I never got to play this because I never owned a PS4/5, part of me thought the reviews for it were overhyped and exaggeration.

Nah, this game is peak souls, after finally playing it to completion, I get it why people praise it so much, this is the epitome of souls games, the art, music, combat, enemies, and the biggest factor for me personally, the world.

I personally think the story in souls games are generally boring, I don't really pay too much attention to them, they're usually super convoluted or vague, guised under some weird poeticism, but not Bloodborne, this is by far the best storytelling and worldbuilding that you can experience in any game of this genre.
