Bruh, why do you hate Kingdom Hearts?

I think the story is ridiculously convoluted and that it's basically the video game equivalent of Bleach (the manga, not the chemical). It's got cool moments, but little substance, and given it's a type of RPG, I'm very critical of the plot. I'm sure the gameplay is mostly fine though... for KH2 at least, from what I'm told.
I've always loved the gameplay. I think that the story is pretty easy to piece together if you play all of the games. It's one of those game series like Metal Gear that rewards fans with a good story given the fact that you play all of them.
Also, Let's Go Pikachu?

Let's Go Pikachu is just... god I hate it by concept. How do you take the simplest JRPG and make it so simple to the point of not even really being a game anymore. My issue with it is that it was a 60 dollar (the price has luckily lowered, but 50 bucks is still steep) phone game. You can't fight wild Pokemon, EXP share is on at all times, and the whole gimmick is that you catch Pokemon like in Go. Now, that last part isn't a problem on its own, it's just that it's 90% of the entire game. Like, there's just no need for LGPE. There's already a better set of remakes of the Kanto region with way more stuff to do in general, and even then the mainline games are simple enough as is, why would they need to be made simpler. I dunno, I just saw the game as an obvious cash grab and it angered me from the get go. Kids aren't that stupid and they deserve to play good games (especially when said good games are readily available and way cheaper than LGPE).
Actually, that makes perfect sense. Personally, I loved LGPE as more of an experience to pair with GO. It is inferior to Firered/Leafgreen but if you play it with a fresh perspective and look at it as it's own thing entirely, you will probably have a mildly good time.

I may try it someday, but it'll have to be on sale because I really do not want to pay 50 bucks for it.
What about FF7R? I get G N' G and Infinite Warfare but what about FF7R?

The ending. I will not post any spoilers here, but the concepts that are introduced have nothing to do with the original game in regards to its world and themes, making me feel like the game's name is blatant false advertising when it should really be Final Fantasy 7 Reboot... or it could've just been an original property with nothing to do with FF7 where they could've brought those ideas to instead of taking a classic and twisting it into something (storywise, I've heard the gameplay is stellar) nobody asked for. It comes down to, I'm not going to waste 60 bucks to play a bastardized version of a beloved classic's story when I own the original and can just play that instead. I just have no respect for false advertisement and deliberately stuffing in things unrelated to the source material. There's a thing to be said about Remakes. Most remakes add new things, whether that be more story stuff or more levels to playthrough, but they usually don't change the entire story to make it completely different from the original. FF7R from what I'm aware follows that pattern up until the endgame where it pulls a "fuck you" card and decides to completely spit on FF7 and its legacy. I'm not even a big FF7 fan, and I just think it's a massive disservice to the original. It's just, why put all the effort in improving the gameplay and adding more stuff that expands on the source material when you're just going to say "fuck it" and turn it into something completely different? I just don't get it, and I don't want to get it.

Also the fact that it's episodic and all of the other episodes will likely be full price as well.

Remake is such a general term though, it doesn't have to follow specific guidelines to other remakes or the original.

If I took a turkey sandwich and remade it into a ham sandwich, would it still be a turkey sandwich?

No.

Video games are not sandwiches. You should eat before you write.

I had already eaten dinner by the time I made that analogy.
