Miles morales is a shorter experience than Spiderman but I found its story to be slightly more engaging if not a few poor writing choices. The side content in SMM is much improved from the original and makes the experience feel more complete and less bloated.

I do believe you should play this after Spiderman to understand the characters a little better.
