Katana Zero is a solid indie title about a time-controlling samurai in a cyberpunk metropolis. It has an amazing premise, and its gameplay is great too. The main character, Zero, has a Katana–and he cuts things with it. Enemies die in one hit, but they also kill you in one hit, so interactions are fast-paced and intense. Zero can slow down time because he’s addicted to drugs, which lets him reflect bullets with his sword, both creating offensive and defensive opportunities. Katana Zero also tells an engaging story, with twists and turns that hint to something greater coming from the DLC that might come out someday. Katana Zero is definitely a fun time, and the April Fools’ update is the cherry on top.
