Portal is a brilliant game with a phenomenal premise. What’s even more impressive is that the mind-blowing physics actually work. In fact, they work flawlessly. Jumping through portals is seamless, and the momentum conservation is intuitive. Pacing-wise, Portal is a well structured game. It’s brisk, but fleshed out. Puzzles start off simple and with only a single portal at the player’s disposal, but end with two portals and multiple different sub-objectives to get to the goal. Throw in an iconic, loveable villain and a price tag as low as $0.99, and you have a solid game.
