Tie Breaker! There are currently 7 games fighting for the last 2 spots on the list. Please vote for up to 2 games currently showing in the list. You can vote for the game even if you voted for it before. The tie breaker will last for about only 2 or 3 days.

Welcome to the second one of these!
For this theme I thought about how Backloggd was inspired by Letterboxd, and how these showdowns are a direct rip-off of the ones they had there. So I decided it'd be games based on movies and TV shows. But then I thought about weird cases like "Aren't Anime games technically based on Manga?", so I thought about including books and comics etc. But then I thought of more edge cases like "Aren't Digimon games that don't use the Anime characters technically based off a Tamogachi?" and "What about Yu-Gi-Oh! games that don't use Anime/Manga characters? The card game was based on the Manga, so are the video games based on Manga or the card game?". So screw it, I'm saving myself from a rulings nightmare.

The theme of this showdown is video games that are based on any existing property that isn't another video game! Films, TV shows, comics, board games, toys, Pepsi etc. Some more specific rules below.

Showdown specific rules:
-The existing property cannot be based on a real person, so no Mike Tyson's Punch Out! Fictional versions of real people are allowed, such as games based off the Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon.

-You can vote for as many games in a single series as you want as long as they're all different games (games with the same name but that are different, such as handheld tie-ins, are allowed). I personally like a self-imposed one per series rule when doing these things, but that's just me.

-You can vote for a game that is based on a non-game property that itself is based on a game. E.g The Street Fighter Movie game, or Pokémon Puzzle League (which heavily uses anime characters over game ones).

-Crossovers like Multiversus are allowed, however I'd say Marvel vs Capcom is not. While I won't ask for zero gaming content to be necessary, I'd prefer it to be much less than 50%, if it was like just a character or two, it'd be fine.

-Kingdom Hearts doesn't count. I find it hard to explain exactly why, but while it heavily uses Disney licenses, it's still not "based" on them if that makes sense?

General Rules/Tips:
-Write your list in the comments. You can include up to 10 games in your list. If you add more than 10, anything after 10 will be ignored. You can add less than 10 if you want, and all will be counted.

-A thread will be up on the Discord to ask questions and clarify things, or I myself may ask you questions.

-When games share titles, try to be as clear as possible with the game you're voting for. This is mostly important when games share the same titles with different release years, or when a game has a console and handheld version that are vastly different games. For example Spongebob SquarePants: Battle of Bikini Bottom has a console and Game Boy Advance version, plus a remake for the console version, so if you just say "Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom" I'm likely gonna just go with the original console version by default (which tbf is most likely, but the point is if you want the GBA version or remake, specify it).

-The order of your list doesn't matter. Every vote is just worth 1 point.

-Try not to argue in the comments with anyone else's choices and whether or not they fit the criteria, and especially just to mock their choices. It'll make the comments too messy. If you think a user made a genuine mistake, you can bring it up by tagging them (or use the Discord thread). For games I know don't fit the criteria I will point it out myself, but I don't know every game in the world, so a "wrong" game may slip by if not pointed out by someone else. Obvious troll posts will be ignored, even if they happen to have 1 or 2 legit games (though a joke or two at the end of a list is allowed if you really want). Troll answers in this case are ones that don't meet the criteria at all, not games that fit, but are generally seen as awful. They will be counted if they're in your votes.

Note: If you want to change any of your answers please don't delete your original comment. I will be marking down results as I go through, so if you delete a comment to make changes it might mess up the game count. Just leave your original comment and say in your new comment "replace X for Y"
