It's Borderlands, but more. More weapons, more characters, more story, etc. I would argue the last one is not a good thing.
Anyway, if you wanna shoot hordes of mutant bandits, robots and monsters that don't deserve to live and you don't mind a bit of grinding every once in a while then go ahead.
