This game is a lot of dumb fun, but not much else. You have lots of weapon and enemy variety, good vehicle sections and a Hollywood tier story. This is probably the only direct sequel in the series too.
I think it gets more hate than it deserves because people expected another open world game like Guerrilla when in reality 3 out of the 4 main Red Faction games are lineal shooters.
Also, the game is a bit unstable, but there's a checkpoint every 30 seconds like in every console shooter at the time so it's not a big deal.
