Fun as hell. Banter with your squad is really entertaining, not much of an overall plot though. Gameplay can be really strong or weak depending on the weapon, with some randomly feeling super powerful and satisfying with others being peashooters. The game is not too difficult overall, with some huge and tense difficulty spikes every so often. The gameplay is pretty interesting but kind of simple, withyou issuing tactical commands to your squad. The game is kind of short, and environments can be a little repetitive although there are some cool ones like the Trandoshan prison ship.

This game gets slept on harder than a hooker at a narcoleptic whorehouse. The atmosphere is great- with some weirdness- the writing is really good, and it's a pretty well-paced game that's fun the entire way through, even though the combat's kind of weak. Main problem- it's really, really, really old, and while the enhanced edition fixed the weird controls, the game's age and first impressions turn people off. Give the game a chance, though, and it's as interesting and deep as a lot of modern games.

Writing is very good- some fantastic (and fantastically awful) voice acting. The writing is almost scarier than the actual game. The game has a atmosphere that's both really cool and creepy at the same time. A lot of player choice, but not much is explained and there are only a couple viable builds. Core gameplay is clunky, but fun to mess with and break. The game runs out of steam near the end really hard, but totally worth it.
