My god, it's peak. The 2023 remake of the original was fun, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt the combat was a bit too slow for my tastes. The second game rectifies this by upping everything. Explosive set pieces, a greater utilization of Kinesis, Dead Space 2 is peak big, dumb 7th gen action done incredibly well.
