it makes me so mad that my favorite jrpg is a 2008 xbox 360 exclusive i wish this was on a platform that was easier to access. anyways it slaps hard the characters are fun the music rules the combat is fun the skill system can be a little overwhelming but fun to mess with. love this game so much its a special one from when i was a kid. if you dont have an xbox one go watch a lets play or somethin its Peak

literally why would you pay money for omori when you can download and play end roll for free and have a much better experience with it. full rpg combat system on top of a really good story that leans into the horror aspects the further you go. lot of trigger warnings but if you can stomach them this game is sooo fucking good

the last game in the 'Strange Man' series (for now?). really good send off for the series, giving the new protag his time to shine while also letting other characters from previous games have a little bit of attention to show how theyve grown in the years since their games. this one also has a few puzzles that drive me up a wall, but its fine. its really good. go play the whole series.

there's a pattern. this is the third game in the 'Strange Man' series and my favorite of the bunch. leans back into the horror approach a little more as well as deciding that having nice or scared protags is overrated and making the protag a bitch. the true end stuff is a little frustrating without a guide but the story is enough for me to give this a higher rating anyways. peak.

another rpgmaker horror and the second in the 'Strange Man' series. probably the shortest of the four games, but unfortunately it's not as fun as the others. less horror focused than the last, and more puzzle focused, and sadly a lot of the puzzles are either obtuse or require a lot of back and forth running. good story tho, would still recommend. but godspeed on those puzzles

classic rpgmaker game, first in the 'Strange Man' series. this was another popular one back in the 2012-2013 era. crooked man's on the longer side, and i won't deny that a few of its puzzles are on the weaker side, but overall its a good story with mostly fine puzzles. go play it.

2022

ive played the original version so many times that when the remake first released (in japanese, a language i cannot read) i played through it anyways and managed to get an ending. anyways this game rules its one of the "classic" horror rpgmaker games, one of the big ones of the genre back in 2012, and still holds up well. its fucking ib. go look it up on vgperson's site if youre broke.
