Comparing with the sharp X68000 remake (It's almost the same game with better graphics and slightly changed level design) this one has it's downsides and also some good points, comparing to the remake Platform sections are much better and the physics are much more understandable, while in the remake every jump feels like a Leap of faith, And about the level design, it's the same map with the same items but with infinitely more annoying enemies with infinite respawn, which makes the game a thousand times more difficult, Levels that were already annoying in the remake now seem almost impossible, about the graphics there's not much to say, it's the PC88 obviously It will have its hardware limitations, but it is still a very beautiful game for its time.

Having said all that, I still prefer the Sharp x68000 version, it's more pleasant, has better graphics, more dubbed parts and is definitely easier and a little fairer, although it has its moments that the level design is purely troll

The PC 88 version is good for the platform limitations (and definitely better than the disaster that was the first Valis game) but i will say, play the X68000 is the best version in my opinion, even better than the PCE Valis II (Which is a totally different game)
