Pixelated perfection. The gothic/dieselpunk Artstyle of FF6 is a treat for the eyes, as is the accompanying score from Nobuo Uematsu. This game is best played in the fall, specifically Halloween time, with the lights dimmed and the kettle on. An all-time classic in the medium.

Words can't fully express my love for this game. "Favorite piece of media" somehow doesn't fully encapsulate what it means to me on a personal level. I love everything about this game from the writing and art to the music and general sound design. It's flawless, perfect, and amazingly executed.

Without question Yoko Taro's best work. Gone are the technical and structural issues of games past, leaving with a genuinely perfect game in everything it has to offer.
