Ranking Games of the Decade (2001-2010)
Isn't it crazy to think the games at the start of this list will be two decades old a week after this list got started? Here's my ranking of all games I've scored that came out from 2001 to 2010!
101 Games
I'm a leader in a community of fake Smash moveset makers on Smashboards called Make Your Move that began in the Brawl era and I was BIG on obsessively checking out every Dojo update. I think that while Smash speculation is bigger due to Social Media, it has never had the FERVOR of the Brawl era where thousands of people checked the Dojo at midnight hoping to see even a screenshot to analyze. Also my favorite days of speculation.
The gameplay lacks the crisp and depth of Melee or Ultimate, but it is still a VERY fun party game and even underrated on the gameplay side. The Subspace Emissary is great and I am sad Sakurai was so upset about leaks he didn't want to do something with it again. The entire thing has a Vibe with the crossover unlike other games between the "epic" story and the realistic style graphics (funny when it is on the Wii) that still make it incredibly unique in the Smash catalogue. A special place in my heart.

I decided to go through and put more notes in although I haven't updated the description. The Madden ones turned into me listing some stuff from their soundtracks (w/ links), so hopefully people enjoy that. I do hope to catch a lot of franchises from this era I missed with at least one game like Sly Cooper or something as it could use some variety I feel, although this is still a pretty damn eclectic mix.
