Didn't expect this one to be as interesting as it was and I didn't expect to play it for a lot more than FM8, but I'm still a lil disappointed by this one. It's a visual step up from TC2 and Grand Race is a phenomenally fun game mode but I'm waiting for it to break out of this "vanilla" stage. Everything just feels so similar to TC2 structurally and a lot of the features I didn't like return here -- you still can't pause your game without it timing out and you can't sell your cars -- while new gripes make their debut: the avatar models are kinda ass, the lack of houses makes the game less immersive, and some of the inner workings of the career mode make no sense. Tbh tho I know this game is one or two major expansions away from blossoming into something crazy. Still holding out hope for that Japan expansion.

The multiplayer can be fun but the idea of this game needing more than 5 years in the oven is laughable. In an age post Assetto, this game should've offered so much more or at the very least things that the first few games had that made them so revolutionary but nah. They played it super safe here and gave us a competent game with padded content.

Also, tell me why the "practice" rounds we have to do in career mode now before the race couldn't just have been a qualifying session? Instead here we have to use this weird betting system to get our position and it's just...so dumb.

why in the everloving fuck isn't multiplayer on the xbox one port

no, seriously

2010

Bosses are extremely easy to beat but otherwise, this is one of the most fun video games ever made. An underrated BANGER.

There will never (and I do mean NEVER) be a game more emblematic of every single thing wrong with Ubisoft and gaming quite like this one

The level where I'm in a shootout while CREAM by Wu Tang plays in the background though is goated tho

2022

"It's literally the same as the past few entries" ummm did you not see the updated camera angles for the podium animations?

Still waiting for the rest of this game to come out bc aint no fuckin way: Need for Speed edition.

This is the absolute worst game that I keep downloading and playing several times

Seriously, I can't think of one legitimately good thing about this one outside of the fact I have a weird desire to play it sometimes

Ig it was too much to ask to not have the game look and feel outdated by 2 console generations

To no one's surprise, everything was lined up for a perfectly solid basket run and yet EA still decided to shoot with their eyes closed.

Still waiting for the rest of this game to come out bc aint no fuckin way

Great game but oh my days the multiplayer is a nightmare to deal with

Decent but could've been way better

I say "abandoned" but there was literally no progression system in this game.

Originally had to get this game instead of Midnight Club 3 for some dumb reason and I ended up having a blast that summer. So nice I had to beat it twice.
