Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle R is a great remaster, featuring all the DLC from the original game, as well as featuring newcomer characters exclusively for this new version of the game.

The differences between the original and this remaster are both minor and major in terms of both characters, voices, and overall gameplay.

This remaster has decided to remove the story mode from the original and instead go for a challenge mode which goes through each different part with different challenges per mission, having both main fights, and extra fights with characters from other parts of Jojo.

Each part has specifc number of sections, with the longest being Part 3:

Part 1 - 1 Section
Part 2 - 2 Sections
Part 3 - 3 Sections
Part 4 - 2 Sections
Part 5 - 2 Sections
Part 6 - 2 Sections (Second Section was added after the Pucci and Weather Report Free DLC Update)
Part 7 - 1 Section
Part 8- 1 Section

Each fight is a stand fight with difficulties and challenges to overcome as well as secret missions to do, which involve the following types of secret missions to accomplish:

- Don't Lose Any Round
- Pull of a Counter Attack
- Pull off a STYLISH EVADE
- Taunt
- Use a Specific Special Move
- Use a Great Heat Attack (Ultimate Attack)
- Win a match by using a Specific Special Move to defeat your opponent
- Win a match by using a Great Heat Attack (Ultimate Attack)

Luckily even if you don't complete all of the missions you can replay the missions and get the missing missions complete, and still lose the match and it'll still count to the completion.
There are a total of 125 secret missions to complete. Completing these unlock new colors and costumes for the fighters. To make it easier to complete these missions, every loading before the main match allow you to spend coins to use for special ability cards that will help you in the match incase the difficulty is very hard.
Most of the ability cards are based on stands and specific moments from Jojo, which each serving specific abilities to help in the match:

- Having your Health regenerate anytime you're hit
- Having your super meter regenerate infinitely
- Having your super meter start off Max from the start of the match
- Having your opponent start off at half-health
- Having your opponent's health reduce continuously until 1 life point, regardless if they heal.
- Increasing your attack or defense, or both
etc.

You can use up to 3 ability cards, however similar ability cards will be unable to be used if you already have spent JOJO Coins on said ability card. Luckily you can keep reusing these for every fight.

The 1 mission I recommend using 3 cards specifically is during the Pucci (Final) Mission where you fight against Jotaro, the secret missions require you to activate Made in Heaven and then another mission you have to use an ability only Made in Heaven is able to use. Use these 3 cards:

- Pearl Jam - Continuously Heals you during the Match, regardless of how many times you get hit.
- Use the increasing Super meter card as it will always refill regardless if you used your GHA.
- Use Half - Health Card Against your opponent.

Reason being is because activating Made in Heaven is extremely difficult as Jotaro will stop you and refuse to allow you to perfectly say the 14 phrases to Green Baby, so constantly having your health regenerate is helpful, then once you have C-Moon the real hell starts.
You have to use your GHA and Pucci has to use the Door Frame to float up in the air for atleast 4-5 seconds without getting hit, the problem is that Jotaro's CPU will refuse to let you do this, unless you knock him down and quickly use GHA, which luckily with the refill card, will continuously allow you to try again multiple times. This singular mission requires you to have all these cards, as I believe it's impossible to do without trial and error and HIGH AMOUNT OF LUCK.

I had a great time with this game, and I hope the next DLC Characters are: Tooru (Part 8), Ringo Roadagain (Part 7), and Part 9's Jojo.

I recommend picking up ALL STAR BATTLE R as it is the definitive Jojo Fighting Game for modern consoles.

I recommend both All Star Battle R and Heritage for the Future to anyone who want awesome and fun JOJO Fighting games :D
