A completely serviceable mascot 3D platformer, similar in many ways to other "x & x" - type games, though in what feels like a broadly more generic take. While I think the controls, level construction & challenge relative to the length are all pretty solid and without a lot of flaws in my eyes, the biggest sin this game commits is just not really being memorable or engaging on it's own merits. It helps that it is so short, almost like a very professional demo reel or starter project, but pretty much nothing about the design or characters drew me in on their own. It's technically "Skylar & Plux & Bob", since even though Skylar fills in for the Jak stand-in of silent protag with chatty partner, her robo gauntlet seems to act as the other end of punctual counter that Clank filled (so kind of a "we tried every aspect" approach), so this kind of grabbag approach leads to why the game feels so formulaic and bland. If these core mechanics were put underneath something a lot more visually creative or innovative, I'd probably really love it, but as it stands this is just extremely okay.
