This is a perfect game to end off such a legendary trilogy of games. It has the most refined combat of all the Dark Souls games and easily the best bosses and soundtrack. Beautiful world and incredible lore but comes short when it comes to game progression. While the previous Dark Souls games were very open and allowed you to take many different routes to clear the games, DS3 is incredibly linear. It's basically a boss rush with some decently interesting areas to explore but not enough to make exploring super exciting. While that sounds scathing, DS3 makes up for it by having the best bosses I have ever fought in a video game. Bosses like Abyss Watchers, Pontiff Sulyvahn, Champion Gundyr, and almost every single DLC bosses. The soundtrack, the move sets, and lore makes these bosses incredibly memorable and a truly unforgettable experience. Slave Knight Gael is THE best boss I have ever fought in a game. The music, the arena, the dialogue, his lore, his fight; It's perfection. I recommend this game to anyone who hasn't dipped their toes into the Souls franchise.
