I feel like the ultimate merit of a puzzle game is how much you can naturally intuit without the game pointing something out or specifically telling you: in that, this one holds itself among the cream of the crop of the genre. There's virtually nothing to get stuck on or wonder if you're missing, and it's so elegantly designed that you could easily figure out any given challenge within mere moments of it being shown to you.

The problem with this simplicity and design is that there's not a lot else to grab onto: while Portal had a sense of humor and Superliminal had an uplifting theme, there's not much about Cocoon outside of its puzzles and mechanics. It obviously doesn't NEED to have anything more, as it's still a fantastic puzzle game, but it's probably only going to be remembered by me as such.
