Honestly after playing this game for a while, there are a ton of issues that past me was too stupid to care for or realize. Like how unpolished everything is, how the cutscenes have no life or emotion to them, or how fishing with Big the Cat makes the small enemies, the guardians, the portals, and the random objects and surfaces for parkour completely unnecessary.

But the open world is a good idea for Sonic, the music slaps, the boss fights’ insane presentation makes what is admittedly easy fights like awesome, and the written is pretty great.

This game made me realize how much I love Sonic, and how the franchise means a lot to me. Truly a great game that I can see everyone enjoy.
Though a part of me wishes we could’ve gotten an actual story.

Unleashed isn’t perfect, in fact I would give this a 5 star rating if the sun and moon medals gimmick wasn’t mandatory to the story mode, and instead used to unlock bonus stages like the Wii version did.

Also I think the pacing could be improved upon. I’m mainly talking about the werehog, just make it a bit quicker and make it feel less sluggish.

And honestly, the English dub for Chip could’ve been way better. The voice we got makes Chip sound kind of uncomfortable.

But aside from those issues, Sonic Unleashed is genuinely a good game with possible the best experience out of any Sonic game. Sonic Colors is still better.

I thought I would get a mediocre licensed game, but what I got was PURE ART.

All this game’s missing is a versus mode.

It’s not perfect or even that good of a game, but it’s fun. Really. Really. Really. Fun.

You need serious help if you genuinely think that this boring, soulless, worthless, poor excuse of a video game is better than Sonic Colors.

If I had one word to describe this game it would be PEAK.

After playing this game and getting use to the jank, I have finally seen the light.

Already three zones was enough for me to turn off the game.

The last boss fight with the disease made me rage quit, and my mom heard me swearing. Anyways awesome game.

Probably the most underwhelming finale to a Sonic game, but at least creating your own character is a neat idea.

Maybe if this game wasn’t slippery as a fish I would enjoy it a lot more, but for what it is it’s a pretty great game.

The cutscenes in this game made me want the facial expressions from Sonic Adventure back.

I’m gonna be honest I only played through Green Hill and turned off the game immediately.
