Fun story and it’s nice to bounce between characters who each traverse the world in different ways but the UI is far too busy during combat, throwing so much at the player at every second. Hate the anticlimactic ending and more content being hid behind DLC or grinding repetitive missions.

Phenomenal. Sits near ALIEN: ISOLATION as the special film tie-in that plays out like an authentic, thoughtful sequel to an iconic masterpiece. You never stop feeling like a roaming tank and the levels are fun to explore. Loved it. Easy platinum, too.

Grade: A-

Played a little here and there over a couple months. Definitely a longer, more complex campaign than I expected going in but that’s a good thing! Combat is decent and repetitive but the story and characters and insane track-list make up for a lot.

Grade: B

Mindless, weightless entertainment. Plays best with 3 randoms online. Really thankful for GameFly because there’s no good price to charge for 5 levels that last 20-30 minutes each. Please just give us a sequel to THE FRACTURED BUT WHOLE.

Grade: C

A significant improvement over the first game. Solid mechanics and satisfying, punchy combat. Had a good time running through all the missions and loved when randoms would join my game to help out.

Grade: B

Incredible. One of the greatest games of all time. Can’t believe I set this down and didn’t pick it back up again till the Remastered version. Enthralling, rousing, emotional — one gripping combat encounter after another.
[played on hard difficulty]

Grade: A+

Thankful I’m using GameFly so I don’t have to be mad about purchasing unfinished games that play worse than their decade-old predecessor. Hardly any content and what’s here is barely functional at times.

Grade: C-

Played with my s/o randomly over the course of a few weeks. We only lost two people near the end.

Grade: B+

Played a few Mortal Kombat games but could never get the combat down so I would always call it good after a few matches. Feels great to finally make my way through a whole campaign on the regular difficulty. Not sure why the campaign doesn’t use fatalities. Solid game with a quick turnaround on my end so I could get Avatar from GameFly on release day.
